Junkies

Travis and I are junkies. Not drug junkies. Fast food, soda guzzling, junk food eating garbage guts. It all started when we started dating. Before every date we would either go out to dinner or stop at the gastion and load up on snacks. Then before school we would stop and get monster, coffe, and a mt. dew. Between 2nd and 3rd period we would get another mt. dew. Then again after school we would stop before he dropped me off to get one more before we left eachother. Once we added it up. Every month we would spend somthing like $600 on just soda. That doesnt include the fast food and snacks. We dated for two years before getting married. Now that we are married it as been really hard to break those habbits. We eat out alot and get alot of snacks and soda. SO we now have decided to kick our dirty habbits once and for all. Kaylee is growing so fast and before we know it she is going to be eating and drinking the same things we do. Neither of us wants her to grow up eating fast food for every meal. This month for the first time we made a grocery list. We also went to winco instead of alberstons and saved around 130 bucks!! Together we made a list of 13 of our favorite home cooked meals and a list of our favorite frozen meals that we can throw in the oven and cook on the days we dont cook. We aloud our selfs two treats. We each bought a bag of chips and a pint sized icecream. We always buy 3 12 packs of soda to keep in our fridge. This time we only bought two 12 packs and a 12 pack of minute made light. There will be no eating out this month. Not once. To help us Trav and I came up with a plan. With all the money we save not eating out, we are going to put into our savings account. For our one year aniversey we are going to salt lake. Tonight for dinner we made sgetti, peas and garlic bread. It was soooo good. Before makeing dinner we put Kaylee in her stroller and took a family walk. We had so much fun and Kay Bug loved it so much (she sat in her seat with her mouth hangin open and talked and talked about everyhting she saw) that we decided to take a family walk every night. I can honestly say I am very proud of us. We are junkies and we have found our cure. :)
